Memorial Day Weekend Cargo Theft Trends

There were 125 events reported with an average of 25 events per year. The stolen cargo in each event was worth an average of $394,106.

Winter Holiday Cargo Theft Trends

In this analysis, there were 176 incidents reported to CargoNet and the average cargo theft was valued at $116,030.

Thanksgiving Cargo Theft Trends

There were 118 theft records recorded in the analysis period with an average of 24 per year. 

Labor Day Weekend Cargo Theft Trends

In total, CargoNet recorded 127 events involving cargo theft or theft of a trucking vehicle in the analysis period.

July 4th Holiday Cargo Theft Trends

CargoNet is tracking an increase in incident reports throughout the country. Incident reports were up 6% from the previous month in May 2022 and 25% year-over-year.
